Huckleberry P disses Simba Zawadi with ‘Lion King’

Hi-Lite Records’ Huckleberry P has released the first diss track of his career today. ‘Lion King‘ is his reaction to Simba Zawadi’s ‘Names’ LP.

Cause

Simba Zawadi has released his first full-length album, ‘Names‘, today. The tracks contain the rapper’s personal experiences with the Korean hip-hop scene, mostly its politics. Besides VMCE SENSJunofloKillagramzDebi, and Illionaire Records, Simba mentions Paloalto several times, as well as Hi-Lite Records.
This is in relation to an incident between Simba and the label that took place three years ago. In the course of the ‘Come Back Home’ dissing, Simba had dissed Hi-Lite as well, and some time after there was a confrontation between the two parties in the waiting room of a concert venue. The confrontation was brought to light by Cjamm in ‘Illusion‘ and Simba soon revealed the details himself.

Here are some relevant lyrics taken from Simba Zawadi’s ‘Names’ LP:

“I’ve never regretted writing lyrics on Come Back Home” – 첫단추

“I dissed Hi-Lite, and that stained my name with blood
Even if I act like it’s all good, everyone knows”
“Upham, who shut his mouth scared by Paloalto’s lie,
is ready to die.” – 업햄 (Upham)

“In the beginning, I made Paloalto my enemy
I don’t want to admit it but that has made me who I am now” – 이름들 (Names)

Reaction

Earlier today, Hi-Lite RecordsHuckleberry P has reportedly posted the following in his Instagram story: “Ah, this guy really can’t write his lyrics without mentioning other people’s names / That’s f*cking annoying / Please stop mentioning our names”

Shortly after, he released the diss track ‘Lion King’ via SoundCloud (listen to it above). The track is, as Huck P confirms himself, the first diss track in his long and “peaceful” career. In the lyrics, the rapper explains that he had originally wanted to ignore it all, but the results of staying put–like insulting comments by netizens directed at Paloalto and Hi-Lite–made him take action.
Huck P further accuses Simba of wanting attention:

“We all know what your intention is
The Show Me the Money season is back
With your laughable skills you’ll be eliminated in the blink of an eye once again
So you take up the role of a righteous conscious MC
You’re just a lunatic with an inflated ego
Wait, I think you’re trying to get exempted from military service with this”

Knowing Simba Zawadi, fans are expecting a response. Meanwhile, Huckleberry P has announced in his lyrics that this was not only his first but also “probably” his last diss track ever.
