TAEYANG has released the music video for “WOULD YOU,” featuring TARZZAN and WOOCHAN, from his latest album QUINTESSENCE.
The track appears on TAEYANG’s fourth full-length album, which also includes the title track “LIVE FAST DIE SLOW.” While the title track moves with forward momentum, “WOULD YOU” turns inward, centering on loyalty, endurance, and the fear of being abandoned when life begins to collapse around you.
In the lyrics, TAEYANG asks, “Would you hold me down, would you walk away,” before pushing the question further: “Would you switch on me, would you stay the same.” The song frames devotion not as a simple promise, but as something tested through pressure, blame, public judgment, and time. Lines about deep wounds, scars, ashes, and darkness give the track a heavier emotional register, making “WOULD YOU” feel less like a love song than a quiet confession.
TAEYANG has described the song as a question directed toward fans who have stayed with him, giving the track another layer of meaning.
