Hoody has officially parted ways with AOMG after 10 years with the label.
AOMG confirmed that Hoody’s exclusive contract came to an end on May 31, 2026. The announcement closes a decade-long run between the Korean R&B singer and one of the most important labels in Korean hip-hop and R&B.
Hoody also shared a short message on Instagram following the news.
Translated, the second line reads, “Thank you for the past 10 years.”
Hoody joined AOMG in 2015, becoming the label’s first female artist. At the time, AOMG was still building out its identity beyond its early hip-hop core, with Jay Park, Simon Dominic, GRAY, Loco, Ugly Duck, ELO, DJ Pumkin, and DJ Wegun among the names connected to the label’s rise. Hoody’s arrival helped widen that palette.
Her voice became one of AOMG’s most recognizable textures, sitting comfortably between R&B, soul, pop, and late-night electronic production. She was never the loudest presence on the roster, but that was part of the appeal. Hoody built her catalogue through restraint, mood, and melody, often bringing warmth to records that could have easily leaned colder or more polished.
During her time with AOMG, Hoody released projects including On and On, Departure, D-Day, and Sailing, while also appearing across a wide range of collaborations. Her work helped define the softer side of the label’s sound, especially as AOMG expanded from a hip-hop-centered imprint into a broader home for Korean R&B, rap, and alternative pop.
The news also lands during a period of major transition for AOMG. In recent years, the label has seen several long-running artists move on, reshaping the roster that many international fans first came to know during the label’s 2010s peak. Hoody’s exit feels especially significant because of how closely her career has been tied to AOMG’s growth.
For fans, this is less about a sudden break and more about the natural end of a long chapter. Hoody spent 10 years with AOMG, released some of her most defining music under the label, and became part of the sound that made AOMG a central name in Korean R&B.
AOMG thanked Hoody for her time with the company and asked fans to continue supporting her future activities.
Hoody has not yet announced her next label or future plans.
