Earlier this year HiphopKR had the pleasure of meeting up with Part Time Cooks at Back in the Day cafe in Seoul, Korea. Despite having both come from different corners of the globe to eventually connect and begin working together here, the hiphop group has collaborated with a number of familiar names in the Korean hiphop scene during the past few years. Their most recent performance was this past week where they opened for Anderson Paak alongside Beenzino and DJ Soulscape.
In addition to collaborations with Korean artists over tracks, they also work with Korean hiphop artist Vasco on monthly events at his clubs in both Seoul and Busan. Typically thrown on the first Saturday of the month, their Stove Top Sessions parties often feature other artists who are active in the Korean hiphop scene as well as musicians from overseas. This upcoming Saturday night (Oct. 1) will be their next performance at Secret Society in Hongdae, Seoul where they will share the stage with visiting hiphop artists WELL$ from Charlotte, NC.
