Rapper Sikboy has joined the label 0316 and released his new single ‘lluvia‘ on June 11. The song features R&B/soul artist Luz.

Californian rapper Sikboy kicked off his career in 2009 with the mixtape ‘MA BAD’. He became well-known for his San E diss track. In 2015 he was featured in HiphopLE’s documentary series ‘Korean Hip-hop in LA‘ next to Loopy and nafla. He first signed to Cycadelic Records, then went independent. He participated both in Show Me The Money 5 and 6, and released his first single in Korea in 2016, titled ‘Raw Shiit (Feat. Waldo)‘.

This new single is his first release under 0316 Records. Sikboy received support from his new label mates Plan.Z and WILDWHIP. The title is Spanish and refers to both rain and a loving woman.

The song holds Sikboy’s complicated feelings toward his mother, who he met again after 17 years. When he was younger, she let him down, and that young boy is still hurting. Yet, at the end of Sikboy’s story, there is a message of love.
