BIBI has returned with “BUMPA,” a new summer single that shifts her sound toward heat, movement, and dance-floor release.
Released on May 20, “BUMPA” marks BIBI’s latest single and her first new track following FeelGhood Music’s global partnership with Warner Music Korea. The release also arrives after the song had already built anticipation through live performances, where fans had been waiting for an official studio version.
Built around global pop, Latin, Caribbean, and Afro-inspired rhythms, “BUMPA” is one of BIBI’s most direct summer tracks to date. Rather than leaning into the darker, cinematic world-building that has shaped parts of her catalogue, the single focuses on instinct: bass, dancing, ocean air, and the loose rush of a hot night out.
The lyrics keep that energy simple and physical. Lines about dancing “like no tomorrow,” keeping the bass up, and moving with the ocean breeze give “BUMPA” a breezy, body-first feel. The hook is repetitive by design, turning the title phrase into a chant that works less like a traditional chorus and more like a party cue.
BIBI was also closely involved behind the scenes. According to Korean media reports, she participated in the song’s writing, composition, production, concept, visuals, and video direction, with BlackDoe and 623 also credited for composition. That hands-on approach keeps “BUMPA” aligned with the broader creative identity she has built across music, performance, and film.
The track follows BIBI’s 2025 album EVE: ROMANCE and continues a busy stretch for the Korean singer-songwriter, rapper, and actress. With “BUMPA,” she opens a new chapter with a lighter touch, trading tension for sweat, rhythm, and summer release.
“BUMPA” is out now on all major streaming platforms.
