Mad Clown releases single ‘h.ear your colors’

Mad Clown has released the single ‘알록달록 (h.ear your colors)’ today.

The single’s style is different from what we are used to hearing from Mad Clown. A jazzy sound based on a funk bass line creates a refined and modern feeling which results in a groovy beat. Mad Clown acts as a narrator, expressing the various feelings of love in a gray city, comparing them to a variety of colors. The detailed depictions of feelings of love blooming in the brilliant city at night are impressive.
The lyrics and the melody have a familiarity that reminds you of seeing a city at night and let you vividly “hear colors with your ears.” Witty expressions add to the interesting concept, for example comparing the feelings of falling in love to a crosswalk, and the expert rapping makes you nod your head. As usual, Mad Clown’s sharp rap sticks to your ears and his teamwork with Jooheon of Monsta X who features as a singer and not a rapper is spot-on as well. The diverse feelings Mad Clown experiences and the traces of the city represented by colors, as well as the fantasy that is peculiarly mixed in their midst present you an entirely new experience.
