Singer-songwriter Joo Young has released the mini album ‘Fountain‘ today along with the music video of the title track ‘Dive’. The featured artists are SOLE, G.Soul, and pH-1.
Joo Young made himself known amongst fans of Korean hiphop by countless featurings for artists like Dok2, Uptown, JP, or Eluphant. He debuted in 2010 under Ra.D‘s label RealCollabo. In 2014 he made his big breakthrough with ‘Erase’, a duet with Hyolyn. Up until early 2016, he was highly sought after and released single after single. After recently finishing his military service, Joo Young now returns to his roots as a singer-songwriter with rhis new mini album.
Naturally, Joo Young wrote and composed all songs, Diving deep into the bottomless Fountain of his musicality, pulling off a variety of genres in his very own style. The title track ‘Dive‘ perfectly demonstrates the dreamy atmosphere and gentle voice that are unique to Joo Young: Starting off with a jazzy piano melody that turns into PBR&B sounds in the hook, the singer shows off his wide spectrum.
Thanks to featurings by singer SOLE of Divine Channel and H1GHR MUSIC‘S G.Soul and pH-1, the album is even more enjoyable as their voices compliment Joo Young’s.
