Many singers, rappers, producers, songwriters, and composers gain inspiration from these genres and as a result profit from black culture and black fans.

Dok2 writes: “I don’t like to release sad or very serious tracks, but I’ve been living with severe panic disorder for a long time. On the outside, I look perfectly fine, but it’s rather serious. As I was having a hard time recently, my medicine ran out faster than I thought in the US and I had to live for over a month without it. The symptoms worsened and at the time I didn’t have any other way to release my feelings, so I made this track. This is the first and last time I’m releasing a song like this, I don’t plan to ever mention it again in my music🙇🏼♂️ I’m not writing this for the sake of being comforted, I’m hoping that the track will be of some comfort to someone with similar feelings or symptoms.
