Talented newcomer DAMYE has pre-released the second single off his upcoming debut album today, the self-produced ‘DON’T WANNA PLAY‘.
In his new single, musician DAMYE tells the story of a young person in their twenties resisting temptation. The artist debuted in June with the single ‘TALENTED‘, the first pre-release off his debut album. DAMYE studied at the Guitar Department of Berklee College of Music and does hip-hop, R&B, and jazz. The songs he creates are a novelty in today’s music market. He already proved his talent playing the guitar for his label mates Boni and OuiOui.
This second pre-release once again shows DAMYE’s musical spectrum. He made the track over night, hit by inspiration while out drinking with his friends. With frank lyrics based on his own experiences, he describes the process of forcefully defying extreme urges.
Worthy of note is the artwork. Amsterdam-based illustrator Floor van het Nederend created it–he has worked for famous brands like OBEY, Patta, and Converse. His artwork is a visual expression of DAMYE’s track.
