Rookie R&B singer JAY.D.S has released his first mini album, ‘BLACK GRADATION‘, and the music video of its title track, ‘STILL ON YOU’, today.
JAY.D.S released his debut single in April. It was–just like his second single–a pre-release off this mini album. All three releases are a collaboration with eyewear brand MUZIK; their glasses are worn by many celebrities, including Jay Park, Tiger JK, and Zion.T.
The five songs on JAY.D.S’s EP represent the change in seasons and in love. The first track, representing spring, features a warm piano melody by pianist and composer Kwon Young. Track two with its funky groove stands for summer. The title track in the style of early 2000 R&B is about a breakup and represents the fall. The coldness of winter that comes with the warm closeness of a lover can be felt in the fourth track with its deep beat and falsetto.
Finally, the fifth track takes the listener back to spring, but in a very different manner than the first. The R&B ballad conveys a sad mood, reminiscing a past love.
