Jazzyfact - Waves Like (album cover)

Jazzyfact release ‘Waves Like’ EP and ‘Harujongil’ MV

Rapper Beenzino and producer Shimmytwice have finally released their second Jazzyfact album as well as the title track’s music video.

Jazzyfact’s first album ‘Lifes Like‘ was a big sensation in 2010. Seven years later, they are back with ‘Waves Like‘.

The mini album is made up of seven tracks and shows the artists’ widened musical spectrum. Beenzino and Shimmytwice‘s growth as artists is evident from this EP.

Beenzino explains the orange-colored tunnel from “If I Die Tomorrow”

Illionaire Records artist Beenzino explains the meaning behind his lyrics from his track “If I Die Tomorrow.”

Korean publishing page Sellev recently released a snippet from their phone interview with Beenzino about the orange-colored tunnel from his track “If I Die Tomorrow” from his 2012 album 2 4 : 2 6.  Listen to the interview (and read our translation) below:

Sellev
“From your track “If I Die Tomorrow,” can you explain the meaning behind the phrase ‘Life is like an orange-colored tunnel‘?   Someone suggested that if you mix red and white together you get orange.  Red represents passion and the constant effort we put in our lives, and white depicts the struggles we face everyday.  Would you say that the mixture of red and white represents the orange-colored tunnel from your track?”

Beenzino
*laughs* “That seems a little too forced. My thoughts are that a tunnel is dark while you drive through it.  One needs to keep driving to reach the light at the end of the tunnel.  The process of life itself is represented by this tunnel. I used the color orange because tunnel lights are orange…”

Sellev
“I guess the phrase had a simple meaning.”

Back in December 2015, HiphopKR attended Beenzino’s concert in San Francisco.  Watch Beenzino’s full performance of the track “If I Die Tomorrow” below:
