Taeyang’s second EP ALBUM “Down to Earth” has been released.
The song “VIBE (feat. Jimin of BTS)” was released in January and once again imprinted the artist’s unique identity. The EP album “Down to Earth” features a variety of genres including ballads, hip-hop, and soul, with TAEYANG himself participating in the writing of all the songs, honestly capturing his personal story. Capturing the various colors of the sunrise, sunset, and dark dawn, “Down to Earth” shows the true colors of a more mature artist.
The sunset at the end of the day does not bring a new morning, but only a dark night. In the same way, my world is colorfully colored with beautiful memories of the past, but it is the succession of repeated nights that visit me, and I feel that my state and situation in the past six years are similar to the sunset.
I was greatly comforted and moved by the fact that the sunset is silently welcoming the night, fulfilling its role in the most beautiful way, without saying a word, through the deep darkness that comes to me endlessly.
The recurring difficult situations and the past times that I found it difficult to overcome alone brought me back to my roots more naturally than ever. This album is a reflection of my desire for new beginnings to rise again.
As I embark on a new chapter in my life, I realize that these past processes were necessary moments in my life. Thankfully, my heart has stooped lower for new beginnings, and I want to stoop even lower if I can to meet those moments. This album is also a result of the relationships I’ve built with the people who have helped me get to this point, who have stood by my side through thick and thin.
I would like to express my infinite gratitude to the producers and staff of The Black Label, who have become my new home and nest, and most of all to my fans who have waited for me for a long time without expectation.
I hope that this album and music will become a small seed and grow into a healthy tree… and eventually bear beautiful flowers and fruits…
