Beenzino’s seventh studio album, “NOWITZKI,” has shaken the music industry by selling an astounding 47,000 copies within just a week of its limited edition pre-sale, marking a groundbreaking record for a solo artist. This feat becomes even more impressive in the backdrop of a music market where recent sales of hip-hop albums have struggled to surpass the 20,000 copies mark.
Set for official release on July 3, “NOWITZKI” has clearly already caught the attention of music fans. The album promptly secured the No. 1 position on Aladdin’s overall weekly sales, CD/LP sales, and K-pop sales on Yes24 from the first day of pre-orders, held on June 19. This sales streak continued unabated for a week, keeping Beenzino ahead of prominent idols such as ‘Newzines’ on major music retailers including Aladdin and Yes24.
The limited edition of “NOWITZKI” offers its owners a truly exclusive experience. It boasts a unique design distinct from the regular edition and features 20 songs, inclusive of bonus tracks exclusive to the limited edition. As part of the pre-release intrigue, the album cover for this limited edition has yet to be unveiled.
In a treat for his fans, Beenzino has roped in a number of notable artists for “NOWITZKI”. These include American R&B singer-songwriter Cautious Clay, American hip-hop musician Lance Skiiiwalker from TDE label, best known for his work with Kendrick Lamar, along with “KIM XIMYA,” “oygli,” “Y2K92,” “Baek Hyun-jin,” and “250”
The pre-sale for the limited edition of “NOWITZKI” runs only until June 30. Fans can reserve their copy at major online and offline music retailers across the nation.
Beenzino’s new record is a testament to his lasting appeal and the enthusiasm of his fanbase. As fans and industry professionals alike await the album’s release, it’s clear that “NOWITZKI” has already made a significant mark on the musical landscape of 2023.
