DEAN drops new single ‘instagram’

DEAN has released his new single ‘instagram‘ today as well as a teaser for the track’s music video.

On Instagram, the singer comments on this release:

“It often happened
that before going to sleep I was lying on my bed, checking Instagram,
and that for some reason I felt frustrated and gloomy in that moment.

Looking back at myself in 2017, I found that
when I see people on Instagram that I like, find cool, or idolize, even more so when I see my friends’ Instagram, I compare myself to them and find myself getting smaller and smaller.

When you think: ‘I need to do something tomorrow too, I need to improve too, I need to step it up’,
when you feel like you’re becoming a nobody among all those people,
when you feel lonely even in the midst of all your acquaintances and friends,
when you feel that all the people that click “like,” leave you comments, send you direct messages, or like just half of you [the half that they see] do not truly know you,
then listen to this song.

Around New Year and Christmas when the world shines the brightest I am releasing a rather gloomy song. As you all know, the brightest times are the darkest.

Actually, this song does not give any comfort or provide a solution, but I’d like for it to be with you like a friend who is crying with you, having an equally hard time with this overwhelming life.

2xxx! (read: “two triple x”) of you.will.knovv has released his debut EP ‘Life‘ today. It features MISO, DEAN, punchnello, Rad Museum, Colde, and SAAY.

As the title suggests, the album is about personal stories that are taken from daily life. 2xxx! talked long with each featured artist to collect stories and unravel them through music.
