Producer Slom has released his first single, “2NITE,” which features American rapper Ace Hashimoto and Japanese R&B singer Taichi Mukai, in Korea today.
YonYon X Taichi Mukai collaborate on ‘Period (Prod. by Slom)’
YonYon and Taichi Mukai worked together on the single ‘Period (過程) (Prod. by Slom)‘ for The Link project between Korea and Japan.
YonYon is a DJ and party promoter, active both in Seoul and Tokyo. She organizes concerts, writes for a culture webzine, and regularly appears on a Japanese radio show where she has been promoting Korean artists. YonYon made herself known as a singer by featuring on YunB‘s ‘Ritalin‘.
On a beat by HOLOCOIN’s producer Slom, YonYon got together with Japanese R&B singer Taichi Mukai. Mukai is signed to Miya Terrace. The lyrics in Japanese, Korean, and English are about the double-sidedness of a longtime couple who need each other despite their conflicts.
The Link Project is created by three musicians, including YonYon. Its aim is to introduce artists from Japan and Korea to one another. The project consists of two seasons. The first season will feature Japanese singers and Korean producers, the second season has the roles swapped. Plus, at the end of each season release parties will take place in both countries.
