Simon Dominic - Me No Jay Park (cover art)

“Me No Jay Park,” proclaims Simon Dominic in new single and live clip

On short notice, Simon Dominic dropped the single ‘Me No Jay Park‘ along with a live clip. Comparing himself to Park, he says he’s resigning as CEO of AOMG.

About a month ago, Simon Dominic released the mini album ‘DARKROOM: roommates only‘. The EP showed the hardships he had gone through in the last two or so years as he was working on new music.

With this new single, the artist properly addresses his situation and what he feels about it, and seems to be making a big decision as the cover artwork already reveals: It shows Simon Dominic’s resignation.

In the first verse, Simon compares himself to Jay Park, especially from the eyes of haters who see him as a lazy guy who only makes excuses, talks a lot but never actually puts his words into action. He quotes them in the hook: “Work, Jung Ki Suck!” The pressure and his own perfectionism ended up having a negative impact on his skills, he explains.
In verse two, he confesses that his self-confidence is extremely low and needs recovering. And the best way to do that is to be himself, ‘Simon Dominic’.
At the end, Simon announces that he’ll give up his shares of the company and resign, as he’s never been a real CEO. He even tells DJ Pumkin to become CEO in his stead.

Edit: AOMG has confirmed Simon Dominic’s resignation. He will nevertheless remain with AOMG as an artist, focusing on his music.

“Only when I’m a rapper I am myself and believe in myself”
“Imma take it back again within a few days”

About H1GHR MUSIC

H1GHR MUSIC was established in 2017 to bring together hip-hop from around the globe. In addition, it was an outlet for the South Korean artists to branch out to the Western music industry. Trending Korean rappers like Sik-K, pH-1, and Woodie Gochild are able to take their trends outside their birth country for global recognition. Also, Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone wanted to further develop the talents that were based in their hometown: Seattle, Washington. This resulted in the signings of fellow AOM crew member Phe Reds, EDM and hip-hop producer Yultron, and Seattle-based rappers Jarv Dee, Avatar Darko, and Raz Simone.

H1GHR MUSIC holds all of the trendiest artists from South Korea. Continuing on with the direction of signing talented producers, GroovyRoom and Woogie are South Korea’s upcoming prospects that are looking to make strides in the music scene. Not only does the label pride itself with producers, Sik-K, pH-1, and Woodie GoChild are Korea’s most popular rappers right now due to their stunning execution of Western hip-hop and trap. Also, the three wasted no time upon joining the label. The three have assisted and released songs with each other since their debut under the label. “Muse“, “iffy“, “GARASADAE“, and many more songs were being pumped out since the label’s establishment in 2017. Rapper Sik-K holds a statistic of being involved in a total of 42 songs in 2017. pH-1 also holds 2 EPs in The Island Kid and Gatsby under his belt. On the other hand, Woodie GoChild capitalized on his quirky style that got him popular on Show Me The Money. The three have been performing a numerous amount of events in 2017 such as the H1GHR MUSIC TOUR in Korea, HIPHOPPLAYA FESTIVAL, and many more.

As we cross over the ocean, Raz Simone is an already established rapper in the states as he has done many tours in the past through his own label. Phe Reds, a childhood friend of Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone, is looking to release his album soon under the label. The label also has EDM producer and rapper Yultron, who has also worked with Jay Park on many hits in the past such as “Ain’t No Party Like an AOMG Party” and the recent single, “Forget About Tomorrow.” Other artists in the label include talented rappers like Jarv Dee and Avatar Darko, who have been recently traveling back to back from South Korea and the states. All of these artists will be looking to make bigger moves in the industry as this year begins with the first ever H1GHR MUSIC TOUR 2018.
