When nine of Korea’s hottest hiphop artists get together to make an album, the results are bound to be fire. Just Music is a team of underground rappers and composers, each offering their distinct brand of hiphop. “We Effect” is their collaborative album release and the headline of their North American Tour. The “We Effect” tour showcased all that raw inventive talent with banging tracks and a wide spectrum of musical styles from each artist. Every rapper has a distinct color and shine, that can appeal to every style of hiphop heads.
The newest and youngest member of the team, Osshun Gum was the first to take the stage. The “High School Rapper”, Osshun Gum eased the crowd into his set with the atmospheric mellow grooves of “Come for You” and “Osshun Waves“. Labelmate Han Yohan followed-up with heavy alternative rock riffs of his aptly-titled tracks “Kurt Cobain“, “I’m Sorry“, and “Super Saiyan“.
Giriboy got the crowd grooving again with his funkier tracks “Zoa” and “Space Flight2“. Genius Nochang took to the stage looking like a Metal Gear Solid assassin, to perform “Ching, Chang, Chong“. Genius Nochang’s distinctly trippy, trap beats are hypnotic, and the audience fell under his spell. The bro-dance circles started to form as Nochang launched into his grungy track “Turn Up“.
Next came Gorotexx and Black Nut, who have got to be one of the best hiphop duos to grace the stage. The highlight of the night was witnessing “Silky Boyz” live, a hilarious throwback to the auto-tuned, slow jams. It’s always the raunchiest tracks that people sing the loudest to, and Black Nut’s “100” song is no exception. Loud and proud, Black Nut fans were shouting his lyrics while jumping in unison.
Bill Stax (formerly known as Vasco) came onto the stage rough and ready with his tracks “Giddy Up” and “Lotto“. The girls in the audience suddenly grew louder, as Cjamm burst onto the stage to jam out with Bill Staxx. Girl’s love them some Cjamm, as he swaggered and grooved all around the stage for his song “Know“.
Like a final big boss match, Swings took the stage to spits his fire and claim his victory. The cheers were the loudest for the veteran hiphop artist. He launched into “Bulldozer” with a confident delivery and flow, only an OG in the Hip-Hop game could provide.
The Just Music gang finally gathered together to perform the collaborative tracks “CarnivalGang“, “Rain Shower“, “Too Real” and “Sushi“, all off their album We Effect and Ripple Effect. On the collaborative tracks, the unique flavor of each artist creates a musical collage that is conceptual and synergetic. The Just Music crew has a synergy, camaraderie and individuality that is hard to find anywhere else.
The “We Effect” tour felt more like a party than a concert, with artists and audience vibin’ together as one. Every member stands out in the Just Music catalogue, and their cohesiveness when performing their collaborative tracks is undeniable. The Los Angeles crowd gave much love to the We Effect crew and each performer gave that love right back. The hiphop shows coming through LA have been stellar this year, and Just Music’s “We Effect” tour set the bar high.
Rapper Giriboy of Just Music has released a new single and music video today. ‘TV STAR‘ features Kim Seungmin.
The title literally translates to ‘Star of the Dumb Box’. The song is a pre-release off Giriboy‘s next full-length album. In the track, the rapper expresses his wish for all the idol and dance musicians to be proud of themselves and become world-wide stars.

Just Music have released their second compilation album.
‘We Effect (우리효과)‘ is the successor of ‘Ripple Effect (파급효과)‘ (2014) and features new member Goretexx. Just Music‘s other new artist Osshun Gum has joined too late to participate in this album and has since been focussing on his own music.
The album is made up of ten tracks, most of them produced by Nochang like the pre-released ‘음음‘.
