FLANNEL ALBERT, Filthy the Kid & Jesediah celebrate the “Asian Glow”
On July 12, 2018, Filthy the Kid and FLANNEL ALBERT, a collaboration project called DIRTY LAUNDRY, released the music video for the single “Asian Glow,” featuring R&B vocalist Jesse Sgambati, known more commonly by the stage name Jesediah.

Filthy the Kid and FLANNEL ALBERT have revealed the music video for ‘Asian Glow (Feat. Jesediah)‘, the title track of their ‘DIRTY LAUNDRY’ EP.
DIRTY LAUNDRY: Filthy the Kid & FLANNEL ALBERT drop project album
Filthy the Kid and FLANNEL ALBERT’s new project ‘DIRTY LAUNDRY‘ dropped earlier today and is now premiering on HiphopKR!
Filthy the Kid is a rapper out of NYC, who has worked with pH-1 and Owen Ovadoz before. Growing up in the birthplace of hip-hop, Filthy’s influences were Notorious B.I.G, Black Star, and Jay-Z.
FLANNEL ALBERT is a Brooklyn-based rapper, singer, and producer originally hailing from Portland, Oregon. His style can be described as melodic hip-hop, pairing lyricism with catchy tunes and hooks. HiphopKR recently interviewed him on his musical journey.
Back in June 2017, Filthy and ALBERT’s joint single ‘DON (돈)‘ premiered here on HiphopKR. Nearly a year later, the two artists are bringing you ‘DIRTY LAUNDRY‘ (a moniker derived from their artist names)–both the name of their project team and album, which consists of ‘DON’ plus two new tracks.
Filthy explains how he and ALBERT teamed up: “While on set for Albert’s AOK music video we joked about his asian glow from drinking during the video. This prompted us saying ‘we gotta make a song called Asian Glow’. Fast forward 5 months and I came across two beats I vibed with, one becoming ‘After U’ and the other being the previously mentioned ‘Asian Glow’. I brought the idea over to Albert that we should bundle the two new records with DON (our first collaboration) and drop a mini project. What was a passing comment became what we are now calling ourselves, Dirty Laundry (thanks Kenny Kim).”
The album’s title track ‘Asian Glow‘ features ALBERT’s WH9LE (read: “whole nine”) crew mate Jesediah. It is a fun, melodic song with a catchy hook–and a positive message, ALBERT explains: “The title Asian glow is something a lot of people get embarrassed about, but this [song] kind of turns that around, since the word glow has positive connotations as well. My verse in particular is just about those women that are just themselves and are naturally attractive, comfortable in their own skin.”
