Owen Ovadoz - 세금발머리바나난리우드 (cover art)

Owen Ovadoz releases ‘세금발머리바나난리우드’ via SoundCloud

MKIT RAIN’s Owen Ovadoz has released a new track titled ‘세금발머리바나난리우드’ (saygeumballmariahbananollywood) via SoundCloud earlier today.

This is not a diss track, but fans suspect that with some lines Owen is referring to Simba Zawadi’s diss from the other day. The lyrics read:

Everybody gotta step on my nerve why? Oh I guess I’m that famous now
[This is] the result of living facing the future, not remembering yesterday or the day before
Everybody talking trash to me right now, oh I guess I’m that famous now
Oh I guess I’m that famous now, oh I guess I’m that famous now

My god is deep and sweet, you can never feel it
Betrayal hurts but you’re alright, you laugh like
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

The word used for “god” here could also mean “poetry,” but the first makes more sense in the context. Note that Simba Zawadi is a faithful Christian, his father is a pastor.

They call me Mufasa, have you possibly seen a guy like this [before]?
Meeting me, they shout “Eureka!” but you’ll never be God’s son
Even when [I’m] quiet for a while they get curious, they’re all here
In other words, their expectations for me are rainmaking, scotching all the fire

The “Eureka” phrase reads “심 봤어” (shim bwasseo) in Korean which sounds similar to ‘심바’ (shimba), and the reference to Mufasa seems like a hint too. “Rainmaking” probably refers to MKIT RAIN and the “fire” could refer to the title of Simba’s diss track which was “flames.”

I’ve sold my passion long ago, we were on different routes
I’ve put aside my feelings, getting closer to my goal
Sorry, [this] hyung has suffered a lot, it’s alright, to a lame extent
Mo money mo problems mo fame, another point of view

No mo friendship, fuck ‘em, just opening and closing traps

In the “hyung” line, Owen might be directly addressing Simba who is a year younger than him.

What Korean fans say about ‘세금발머리바나난리우드’

Fans found that this was rather a reaction than a diss track. They comment all in all positively: “Good, I like it,” “Owen is really good [at rapping],” “Why did he make such a good track?”

The song was produced by Candid Creation, who uploaded the instrumental to his own channel. The producer already worked with Owen Ovadoz on his single ‘Yellow Iverson‘ and his ‘Problematic‘ LP.
