Sleeq pre-releases single ‘One and Only’ and reveals tracklist of upcoming full-length album
“The one thing in your life that is forever is nothing else but you yourself” — Ahead of the release of her first full-length album, the outstanding Sleeq has pre-released the track ‘One and Only‘ today.
Until now, Sleeq has shown off her rap skills and strong confidence on dope tracks like ‘Classism’, ‘Rap Tight’, ‘Energy / Python’, etc. Her new album however will be made up of tracks that delicately describe more intimate feelings, and the pre-released single ‘One and Only’ is the last stop before that full-length album.
The beat is one of the posthumous works by producer Kay P who passed away at a young age last summer, and Glam Gould, a long-time musician friend of Sleeq, added his touch to that beat. The lyrics which Sleeq wrote using her usual fine expressions are about the thoughts and realizations one goes through until one can embrace one’s own natural beauty. The beat and her lyrics create a peculiar synergy, and the track delivers the words, “The one thing in your life that is forever is nothing else but you yourself,” making you ponder on your past and present.

Sleeq’s first full-length album ‘Colossus‘ is going to be released both online and offline on July 2, pre-sales have already started on Hiphop Playa. The fans who pre-purchase the CD will receive its autographed version. Fifty of the albums will include unique polaroids by Sleeq.
Actress Lee Jooyoung is featured on the album cover as well as in an upcoming music video, as photos suggest that Sleeq uploaded on Instagram.
