Woo Wonjae releases double single ‘Anxiety’

‘Anxiety’ is Woo Wonjae’s first double single. It was produced by TE RIM and includes the tracks ‘과거에게 (loop)’ and ‘Paranoid’.

From one day to the next, high school student Woo Wonjae becomes a star. Not even half a year after first appearing in front of the public, Woo Wonjae is already releasing his second single under AOMG.

SMTM6 showed the viewers many well-known faces and voices. Amidst them, there was a new character who boldly displayed his pain. The weight and strength of his words and the way he handled it caught everyone’s attention and curiosity. Winning over all the participants with their incredible experience, Woo Wonjae reached the top three of the show, received all the spotlight, and was thus named the one person who profited the most from SMTM6.
Right after the show, he released the single ‘시차 (We Are) (Feat. LOCO & GRAY)’ which immediately reached first place on Korean music charts, staying at the top for a good two months.
All of this happened to 22-year-old Woo Wonjae in a matter of five months.

Anxiety‘ is the first single he’s releasing as an official artist under AOMG. In the two tracks on this single, the newborn star expresses his honest feelings about his sudden rise to popularity.

For this single, Woo Wonjae worked with producer TE RIM who also produced his track ‘ZINZA’ for SMTM6.

‘Anxiety’ Track List & Credits:
  1. 과거에게 (loop) TITLE
This track reflects on the fast changes in Woo Wonjae’s life, how he is different now and how he feels about it: anxious, confused, happy and self-aware, disillusioned, and distressed. It is a confession from the current Woo Wonjae to the Woo Wonjae from a few months ago, with plain and straightforward lyrics.
  2. Paranoid TITLE
A mixture of Woo Wonjae’s skillful rapping and producer TE RIM’s experimental sounds, this track is more explosive and aggressive than ‘loop’. The exploratory transitions add to the uneasiness of the music which fits the single’s title.
