Just Music - Series (album cover)

Just Music release third compilation album, ‘Series’

Just Music suddenly dropped their third compilation album today. Titled ‘Series‘, this LP features not only Just Music artists, but also Bully Da Ba$tard, Futuristic Swaver, Dbo, Kid milli, OLNL, CHOILB, and more.

Over a year ago, Just Music released their previous compilation album, ‘We Effect‘. Today, without any prior notice, the label released their third joint album.
Swings comments: “It dropped just now. I said Just Music would release a compilation album each year and I’ve kept that promise for two years and I will keep it until the day we close down.”

Including the pre-released ‘Sphere‘, ‘Series‘ contains eleven tracks by various well-known producers like Doplamingo, Squabby Doo, Lnb and Make4Play. There are a lot of featured artists too, but their not being listed as “featuring” is causing confusion among fans. It is unclear whether this is an error or on purpose.
Furthermore, Nochang is tagged in the Instagram post about the album but not to be seen anywhere in the track list and credits. One fan suggested that the face on the album cover could be his.

Just Music’s third compilation album is available on iTunes/Apple Music; release time may differ depending on country.

Jindotgae x WILLYEOM - BAD IS GOOD (album cover)

Jindotgae and WILLYEOM drop second project album, ‘BAD IS GOOD’

After ‘GOOD IS BAD’, rappers Jindotgae and WILLYEOM return with their second project album, ‘BAD IS GOOD‘, and the music video of its title track. The album features A.Train, Bully Da Ba$tard, and QM.

What criteria do we use to call something good and something else bad? There is a need for all of us to think about our criteria. “It’s a killer,” can sometimes mean that something is very cool. And “bad” can refer to something being excellent. Similarly, at times when we feel very good, a sort of uneasiness suddenly comes up, and vice versa: when we feel very bad, we laugh. Looking at things this way, one can say that there is a connection between bad and good.

What we like and don’t like is a very personal matter and the same goes for our criteria for good and bad. A part of those criteria is defined–to a certain extent–by social standards like the law or the system, but the basic right for defining good and bad is in the hands of each individual.

However, in this era where the thoughts of many people are available at a few mouse clicks, the process of thinking about such a basic question and its answer is often absent. Easily put, many do not have an answer when asked why they find something good or bad. When the majority says it’s good, it’s good, and when the majority says it’s bad, it becomes bad. Unfortunately though, no two people in this world have the exact same thoughts. In the end, going with the flow is not really one’s true self. Or, it truly is–though it is difficult to find anyone who would admit to this.

In ‘BAD IS GOOD‘, Jindotgae and WILLYEOM talk about their own criteria of what is good and bad. And naturally, their definitions subtly differ from each other. Also, as they know that we all have different ideas of what is good and bad, they do not force their own opinions on the listeners. Thus, their lyrics might put someone in a ‘bad’ mood, while someone else might find them ‘bad’ass. Equally, the two artists included many elements in the album cover and the title track’s music video that leave freedom for individual interpretation. These aspects distinguish this project album from its predecessor, ‘GOOD IS BAD‘, which made it difficult to decide whether any part of it is good or bad. ‘BAD IS GOOD’ meanwhile makes it rather easy for an individual to judge it ‘good’ or ‘bad’ based on their personal criteria.

About their previous project album, the two artists said that “Someone might find this album good, someone else might find it bad,” and that they “do not care at all because ‘GOOD IS BAD’.”

Even though their new project album is very different from their previous one, that opinion of Jindotgae and WILLYEOM’s did not change. They still do not care about others’ opinions at all because we all have our very own ‘good’ and ‘bad’, and in the end, ‘GOOD IS BAD’.
