Hip-hop duo Garion has returned with a new single after a break of two and a half years. ‘변‘ is about the changes the two have witnessed in their lives.
Garion got together in 1998 and released their eponymous debut LP in 2004. They were two of several individuals who have paved the way for later generations of Korean hip-hop artists. (For more info about this, read our article about the 1998 documentary ‘Do You Know Hiphop?’.)
MC Meta and Naachal‘s latest single is about the sudden changes that took place in the two men’s lives recently. This includes marriage, children, and: hair loss. “It is time for us to change in order to keep up with those changes,” so Naachal.
The single is, just like the previous ‘금기어‘, a pre-release of the duo’s upcoming third LP. The song also has a follow-up track, titled ‘명’ (together, the two titles form the word “excuse”), that is planned to come out soon as well.
