Marv has unveiled [Souly. (deluxe)], an expanded version of his EP [Souly] that was initially released in January of the previous year. This deluxe edition encapsulates the experiences of Marv, an emerging artist yet to be widely recognized, through the lens of Afro Music—a genre relatively unexplored in Korea—melded with Korean lyrics. This approach signifies Marv’s unique contribution to the Afro Music scene. Despite its roots in African music, the album prominently features elements of hip-hop and R&B, distinguished by its unique choral textures.
The production quality of the album has been enhanced by producer and co-label mate xrface of ECLIPSE EMPIRE. Notably, the album includes features from acclaimed artists such as pH-1, Owen, JENNA SUHL, and Jay Park, who collaborated with Marv on the pre-single “Ok (with Jay Park)” released earlier. Additionally, The Quiett contributed as a mixing engineer.
