D.Van - D.Van Feeling (cover art)

D.Van releases second single ‘D.Van Feeling’

R&B singer-songwriter D.Van has released his second single today with support from ALow and Ducks Hoont.

D.Van Feeling‘ is made up of the intro track ‘Dizziness’ and the title track ‘Feel So Low’. The intro track ‘Dizziness’ is sending a message of comfort and hope to everyone who once felt tired wondering why they are the only ones having such a hard time. In the title track, D.Van sings and Ducks Hoont raps about the times when they feel down. Both songs have dreamier sounds than D.Van’s first song ‘Sorry Not Sorry‘.

This second single of D.Van’s also marks the beginning of the crew ‘DA Groove‘.

You can listen to the entire title track below in the video D.Van created for it–the artist emphasized that it is not a music video but just visuals for you to have something to look at while listening.

Mad Clown, JUSTHIS - WASH!WASH! (cover art)

Mad Clown and JUSTHIS release single ‘Wash! Wash!’

Mad Clown and JUSTHIS have released their first official single as ‘COMMON COLD’.

COMMON COLD was formed by Mad Clown and JUSTHIS in 2013. However, after the songs ‘Common Cold’, ‘Flowers’, and ‘Childream’, the two artists focused on their personal careers. In 2015, ‘플라워스 (Flowers)’ was remade into ‘꽃 (Flowers)’ for Mad Clown’s third mini album ‘Piece of Mine‘.

Mad Clown has been releasing music in his well-known high-tone, “hammering” rap style under Starship Entertainment. However, popularity is a double-edged sword: He had to make sure that his music would appeal to the masses, so most title tracks were love songs. There was not enough space for him to tell his true stories. In ‘Wash! Wash!’ he fierily raps: “When I talk about love it feels like licking an ashtray.”

JUSTHIS‘ heavy and tight rap is the opposite of Mad Clown’s and this is what creates the synergy of their team. In 2016, JUSTHIS released his first full-length album ‘2 MANY HOMES 4 1 KID‘ which was nominated for the Best Rap & Hiphop Album at the 14th Korean Music Awards and he was recognized for his authentic storywriting. While many rappers are participating in Show Me The Money, JUSTHIS is walking his own path. “Why tell the producers to change it when they ignore who you really are and just show a side of yours that people will either like or insult?” – “No need for exaggeration, this is Grammy level.”

COMMON COLD’s first official single ‘세탁중 (Wash! Wash!)‘ was produced by starRo, the only Japanese producer of the LA-based label Soulection. He has stood on stage with the likes of Anderson Paak, Toro Y Moi, and Chet Faker, and has collaborated with various fashion brands. He was nominated for Best Remixed Recording at the Grammy Awards 2017. ‘Wash! Wash!’ was produced in a studio in Korea on the spot via a jam session. You can watch the process in the making of video below!

COMMON COLD are here to turn the Korean hiphop scene upside down!
