Wavisabiroom have released their third mini album as well as the title track’s music video.
Beginning with the ‘비밀꼴라쥬‘ EP in 2015, the three members of Wavisabiroom joined their styles, refining the resulting sounds even more with the ‘물질보다 정신‘ EP in the same year, for which they received very positive feedback.
A raw atmosphere, candid lyrics, and dreamy sounds represent Wavisabiroom’s music which has been further perfect in their new mini album ‘VIBE‘. Just like a tree naturally roots in the soil, Jflow and JJANGYOU‘s voices root deeply in ARwwae‘s beats with just the right amount of sarcasm, anger, sophistication and kitsch, creating Wavisabiroom’s characteristic emotions and sounds.
Just like their previous albums, this one does not have any featurings but solely concentrates on the members’ unique musicalities.
Rapper B.A.C and producer Sylarbomb have released the album ‘ㅂㅂ‘ and the title track’s music video as project group TFO.
They know the groove that makes everyone get up,
that is dangerous and not easily seizable,
and they make the word ‘possibilities’ possible for Korean hiphop:
TFO.
They distance themselves from mainstream Korean hiphop through mockery, anger, and sometimes through envy and jealousy. B.A.C’s rap is completely unpredictable, with lines like: “I might go on SMTM 18 and tell a 40-year-old Dok2 that it’s my last chance, possibly cry even.” Meanwhile, Sylarbomb’s experimental beats put in order what B.A.C disorganized with his rapping.
TFO keep persisting in their own view of the world. Hiphop came to Korea and became Khiphop, then ‘Show Me The Money’. And beyond that, it became ‘TFO’. Luckily, when talking about Korean hiphop we can still use the word ‘possibilities’.
This was a drastically shortened version of a fantastic promotional text written by YOUNG, GIFTED & WACK’s CEO, so if you know Korean please do read the original to get a better idea of TFO’s music.
Also check out the music video of the title track ‘원뿔’ (lit.: cone), but please note that the video is not suited for people who are sensible, due to violence and possibly disturbing content.
