MRSHLL - StarLiGHT (cover art)

MRSHLL explores the opposites within in new single “StarLiGHT”

After releasing three singles since August (“Mirage“, “RECEiVE“, “Never Too Late“), MRSHLL is back with another single, titled “StarLiGHT“.

In this new song he explores the dichotomy between opposites that are within all of us — spicy and chill, hot and cold, fast and slow. Inspired by the sound of metal chopsticks hitting a vintage Chilsung Cider glass bottle, MRSHLL incorporated elements of ’80s and early-’90s pop sounds of Belinda Carlisle, Starship, Donna Lewis, Wilson Phillips, and Mr. Mister — along with contemporary hip-hop beats drawn from Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and City Girls. “StarLiGHT” is about releasing yourself to be what you are capable of and being okay with ALL of yourself — the good and the bad, the weird and the ugly, the light and the dark.
