Rapper Hodoo of Living off Art has released her third single, “Rain (Prod. loarte)“, today. A music video will be released as well.
“One day, I noticed that the capricious weather was like the emotions of someone you’re one-sidedly in love with. You can’t predict what they’re thinking or feeling but you keep wanting to confirm your predictions and be right about them.”
Rapper Hodoo of LOA has released her second single, “SUBWAY“, produced by her crewmate loarte, today. A music video is coming up.
“I looked at my surroundings only after getting lost. This song is about what I felt at that time.
“After moving to Seoul, I’ve constantly been hurrying along looking only ahead and at the navigation app on my phone. At one point, I suddenly got lost and took the subway. Only then I looked up from my phone and watched the scenery fly by through the subway windows. I couldn’t believe I had to get lost in order to look up and at the world outside of my phone.
“Even though I had been using the navigation app, I still lost my way, so I wondered why I should even use that navigation app to begin with. Funnily, that somehow made me feel at ease, but as I was sitting there in silence I asked myself one question after the other. I couldn’t answer even a single one of those questions. One thing that was certain was that I had been neglecting myself as well.
“What do I want? Is this really the right way for me? I plan to walk ahead quietly with broad strides while asking myself these questions about my life and myself. I realized that some things you only see once you get lost and that getting lost is not that bad.
“I hope that when you listen to this song you will look back on the road you’ve been on (your life) and ask yourself questions in order to not lose yourself.”
Rapper Hodoo takes you back to your “Childhood” with her debut mini album that came out at the beginning of the month. All tracks were produced by loarte.
