BSK and Dok2 release digital single ‘Cali Shine’ for we.MAKE20

Singer BSK and rapper Dok2 have collaborated on the digital single ‘Cali Shine‘ for BSK’s we.MAKE20 project.

Since a young age, it has been Dok2‘s dream to work with BSK, aka Bumsoo Kim. That dream has finally come true in the form of this single which is part of MAKE20.

MAKE20 is a project BSK thought of around the time he turned twenty. The single project is made up of three parts: re-MAKE, we-MAKE, and new-MAKE. The first part, re.MAKE, came out in April. For the second part, BSK asked Dok2 to work with him:

“Dok2 was the very first artist that came to mind as I was working on the project. About three years ago, Dok2 asked me to work with him but due to our schedules it didn’t come to be. So I wanted to make it happen this time around and contacted him first as soon as I started the project, and he happily agreed.”

BSK says that meeting Dok2 made all the little worries he had disappear. The two had so much in common that they talked for a long time, and one of their common topics became the subject of their song: both enjoy travelling, especially to California.

“The listeners don’t need to be travelling or know what California is like. I hope that they will think of their personal resting place. I want it to be a song with which they can enjoy their own passion and freedom to the fullest in this hot summer.” (BSK)
