McKay - Thirsty (cover art)

Singer-songwriter McKay drops new single ‘Thirsty (Feat. Wutan)’

Singer-songwriter McKay has released the new digital single ‘Thirsty (목말라)‘ today. It features rapper Wutan of Vismajor Company.

McKay rose to fame through the second season of audition program K-Pop Star, where he was a member of “Raccoon Boys.” He debuted two years after the show, in 2015, with the single ‘Angel 2 Me’, a duet with Jeff Bernat. He followed it up in the same year with the single and music video ‘Month Of June’.
Three years later–this year in May–he returned with the single ‘You Will Never Know‘.

McKay’s latest song is the perfect music for hot summer weather. Together with VMC‘s Wutan, the singer expresses his thirst and longing for a beloved.
Once again, McKay worked with 220, who also produced for T-ara, NCT, Taemin, U-KISS, and Eric Nam.

Stream the single on SoundCloud, YouTube (see above), and iTunes/Apple Music to get refreshed!

QM - ?uestion Mark (cover art)

Rapper QM signs with VMC and releases single ‘?uestion Mark’

Rapper QM, who independently released his first full-length album ‘WAS‘ last year, has joined Vismajor Company and released the single and music video ‘?uestion Mark‘ today.

QM made his debut in 2014 with the single ‘공공의 적’. In the following years, he released amongst others the mixtape ‘한국힙합‘ (Korean Hiphop) together with SIMS, the EP ‘Nazca’ with veteran producer JA, and his first mini album, ‘Eyez in the Drawer‘. The album was crowdfunded and 30% of the funds were contributed by Deepflow, who has been giving shoutouts to QM since 2016. Thus, QM signing with Deepflow’s VMC does not come as a surprise.

The rapper’s new digital single to commemorate his joining the label is named after his rap name, QM, which stands for “question mark.” VMC’s BUGGY produced the track that features the voices of several members of VMC. Check out the music video below!

BUTTER$COTCH - 1UP (cover art)

BUTTER$COTCH drop first single ‘1UP (Feat. Wutan, Jindotgae)’

Producer team BUTTER$COTCH have released their first single today. ‘1UP‘ features independent rapper Jindotgae and VMC’s Wutan.

BUTTER$COTCH are DJ Ebony and Steve Kim. Their first track is grime-based trap music featuring two ‘beastly’ rappers: Wutan of Vismajor Company, and Jindotgae, who collaborated with Willyeom on a project album that came out in January.

The beat and artwork remind of retro video games, and listeners can enjoy the two rappers’ team work.

Notable are the lyrics; Wutan did not forget to diss JUSTHIS, who has recently been dissing VMC. (Deepflow, Don Mills, and Nucksal have already released diss tracks in response.) Since JUSTHIS never explicitly named Wutan in any of his diss tracks, it seems natural that Wutan’s response, or comment, only consists of four lines. Plus, for him this is a featuring and not his own track.

Check out the official audio above!
