Masstige - Brain Map (cover)

Masstige releases first full-length album ‘Brain Map’ and MV

Masstige of Busan-based hiphop label ALIVE MUSIC has released his first full-length album ‘Brain Map’ yesterday, along with the music video for the track ‘알리바바 (Ali Baba) (feat. T’Wali, SWAY D)’.

The album includes everything Masstige has experienced since he started making music until the album was complete, ranging from emotional considerations, changes of feelings, over conflicts to new sentiments.
Masstige has been working as sound engineer, recently for Dynamic Duo’s ‘Grand Carnival‘ and Green Club‘s album of the same name. For his own album, he was also in charge of the recording, mixing, and mastering, which enabled him to put more of his style into the songs.
The album is full of featurings: Hi-Lite Records’ G2 and SWAY D, Dipcoin and AVLX’s Jang Yoosuk who has released the full-length album ‘장유석‘ (Jang Yoosuk) recently, his AVLX crewmate Futuristic Swaver who is producing an incredible amount of innovative music, and finally ALIVE MUSIC’s T’Wali who released the EP ‘만수무강‘ (Long and Prosper Life) not too long ago.
Notably Atlanta-based female rapper Miss Bri who features on track four, ‘더위’ (Heat), has received support by Akon and impresses with performances at various festivals and album releases.
Featured producers are SWAY D, Y N S K, and Futuristic Swaver, as well as rising artist WOOGIE who produced Bryan Cha$e’s album from last year and Reddy’s ‘생각해 (Think)’. For the overall album production, Masstige received help from his labelmate DJ MAD.
The music video for the title track ‘알리바바 (Ali Baba)‘ was directed by T’Wali and Masstige, joined by JGR who is a director in Moscow.

Masstige pre-releases ‘멋 (Feat. G2, Jang Youseok)’ off upcoming full-length album

On January 29, Masstige of Busan-based label Alive Music has pre-released the single ‘멋 (Feat. G2, Jang Youseok)’ off his first full-length album that will be released this month.

“멋” translates to coolness, style, or swag. In the song, each of the rappers expresses their thoughts about the true meaning of coolness in his own way. The featured artists are Hi-Lite Records’ new member G2 who has recently released the single ‘식구‘ [Family], and Jang Youseok of DIPCOIN and AVLX who has been active as part of ILLAP and Wavisabiroom and recently released his first full-length album ‘장유석’ [Jang Youseok]. Sway D, who has also joined Hi-Lite Records very recently, lend a helping hand in composing and arranging.

Four artists with distinct individualities and strong characters meet on this track. It fully satisfies fans’ expectations for Masstige’s first full-length album that will be released soon.
