Nahzam Sue, leader of the soul/funk band Sultan of the Disco, has released the full-length album ‘Till The Sun Goes Up’ as well as the title track’s music video which features VMC’s Nucksal.
You might know the very talented artist as a composer, producer, engineer, designer, or even music video director. ‘Till The Sun Goes Up’ is his first solo full-length album and the only featured artist on the whole album is Nucksal. The funky song and the b-boy zombies are greatly entertaining, and you can spot not only Nucksal but also his VMC mates Deepflow and Don Mills, as well as singer Jang Kiha, as groovy zombie boys. Samuel Seo releases second full-length album ‘EGO EXPAND (100%)’ and MV
The moment when Samuel Seo’s ego expands. ‘EGO EXPAND (100%)’, Samuel Seo’s second full-length album has come out today, May 27, as well as the music video for ‘B L U E’, one of the album’s two title tracks.
The name ‘Samuel Seo‘ had been mentioned by only a minority of Korean hiphop fans, but with the release of his first full-length album ‘FRAMEWORKS‘ in 2015, he made his name more widely known. The value of that album that had not one featuring was increased at the Korean Music Awards 2016 as it won the award for the best R&B/Soul Album.
This second album ‘EGO EXPAND (100%)‘ is coming out only about seven months after ‘FRAMEWORKS’. To keep up with the fast-consuming music market these days, musicians tend to release singles and mini albums to stay afloat, but Samuel Seo has made another full-length album in which he talks about the expansion of his ego.
Upon returning from his travels to Texas in March where he had planned the album, Samuel Seo finished all of the album’s songs in just one month. Overall, he tells about the process of getting rid of uncertain thoughts and a weak ego and becoming a person with a strong ego.
Unlike his first full-length album, this one includes several featuring artists: Jung-in, Giriboy, Nucksal, Ja Mezz, and KimOki. They each worked closely with Samuel Seo to realize the respective song’s content and idea in the best way possible.
Starting with ‘Ego Death’, in which the ego is erased, until ‘Ego Expand (100%), the moment in which the ego expands by 100%, the track order gradually describes the expansion of Samuel Seo’s ego.
While the online release was May 27, the album will also be released offline on June 3.

Verse 1)
My place is the sewer, while smelling the stench
I sit in front of a very small monitor, doing nothing but
moving the mouse to make sure that the screen does not turn off
While in the battle of society, someone is searching for a mouthpiece((Pun on “mouse” (see previous line) and “mouthpiece” which are both written “마우스” (mauseu) in Korean))
No enemies are left for a fighter who has lost his fighting spirit
Not in the bus or even the subway has there ever been a free seat((Pun on “적이 없어“ which can both mean “no enemies” (see previous line) and “not ever”))
Neither in the womb of my mom that has contained me
So now all of it has cooled down, even the passion that has given me hostility and hope
Have I survived pathetically?
A few years ago I said: “Let’s leave before turning thirty!”
Do you still need to be pampered? As a daughter or son,
just take the words of love to your heart
I try wearing a snapback with its prize tag
I wonder if that is my value and get startled
Everyone who lives for the sake of living
A film where minor roles live as the lead roles, this place
Hook)
God, the god of small things
God, the god of small things
God, the god of small things
God, the god of
Verse 2)
Last year, Don Mills and I worked part-time at an Internet café
Self-disrespect? But Zino called and Don Mills made it((Reference to Beenzino – Mitch as F*ck (미쳤어) (Feat. Don Mills) ))
“That’s right, the situation will get better,” says the mirror to me
“Believe in the things you have seen in order to reach tomorrow”
Waking up alone in the morning, dinner with the team
“What’s up? How you doing man? How are things lately?”
Animato-hyung,((Animato composed this track)) who I haven’t seen in a while, is talking about marriage
and says that his older sister has had her second child
So I am still rapping
That guy is still rapping?
No matter if of its own will or due to another factor, when the world turns
all we can do is to take that train as well and go along
Within, my job is to sell lyrics
And someone’s at an office, someone outside or at school
No matter where you are or what you do, that’s not important
You and I who are making an effort to live are one, here
Hook)
Verse 3)
I don’t pity anyone on a whim
I don’t dare to forgive anyone
You, who has been upholding yourself more firmly than expected, are someone’s pride
Your place might be small but it has done well
in bringing you until here. Wipe your tears
I don’t cry by myself, those who see it don’t know this, it just hurts
Even though I’m not young, even though there is no god I believe in
I put my hands together and hope that you too are like me
My friends and family who live like weeds((Weeds are commonly used as a metaphor for being strong, persistent, and enduring))
It won’t be easy to reach a point where we’re satisfied but we keep going
Keep going, unheard prayers
steadily reach heaven
Hook)
