Damiano - COLORS (cover art)

DAMIANO releases new single and music video ‘COLORS’

Rapper DAMIANO of NEON Crew has released his new double single and music video ‘COLORS‘ today. The tracks feature Uzuhan, as well as DAMIANO’s crew mates Wooram and Lil Vice.

DAMIANO has been rapping since he was 17 years old. Easily winning several rap competitions, he debuted in 2014 with a single that featured singer G.O. His first EP came out in the same year. DAMIANO began producing his own tracks, and about one year after ‘It’s Like Electronic Music‘, he returns with a new double single.

The title track clearly shows the music style DAMIANO is pursuing these days: no typical hiphop but refreshing, experimental sounds. The track is further upgraded by Uzuhan, who proclaims: “Can’t put me in a box, no no, I don’t even wanna fit in.”

Each person has their own unique “color.” Yet, people are often trying to imitate someone else’s “color” because they think it looks good. In this track, DAMIANO asks himself whether he is imitating another hiphop artist’s music, searches for his own style, and finally gains courage in his choices.

“I got colors in my mind
You guys might not see them
I was the same, the world was all black & white
I couldn’t pull of either anyway”

The second track on this single, ‘Seon-Bi‘, already came out in November via SoundCloud and features DAMIANO’s NEON Crew mates Wooram and Lil Vice. It already has a music video that DAMIANO directed himself, just like the title track’s music video. Watch both of them below!
