Witty storyteller TaPi of Gravity Music tells us all about the Khiphop scene in his new single ‘말을말‘.
The title reads “ma-reul mal” and means “Let’s not talk about it,” or “I can’t even begin to tell you …” At the same time it can also mean something like “a horse is a horse,” as the Korean words for ‘speak/word’ and ‘horse’ are homonyms (말, read: mal). Thus the horse mask on the album cover.
The beat is aggressive and has a flashy rhythm, the lyrics are full of swearwords and satire, self-deprecation and confidence. TaPi frankly says everything there is to say about being an underground musician in this sometimes childish and pathetic scene.
‘말을말’ lets you enjoy TaPi’s specialties: tight rapping, witty expressions, and excellent word play. Check out the live video below!
TaPi recently released the singles ‘스텀블 (Stumble) (Feat. Freelow)‘ and ‘사이퍼 (Cypher)‘, with Dead’P.
