Eluphant - e (cover art)

Eluphant return with double single ‘e’ and music video

Storytelling duo Eluphant, who are Kebee and Minos, kick off their 2018 project with the double single ‘e‘ and its title track’s music video.

There are many songs about the seasons. In their new project, Eluphant rap about their own view on the seasons, which differs a lot from anything you’ve heard before. The songs compare the seasons to the ups and downs between people and to the ups and downs between people and music.

The title track, ‘마중‘ (lit.: meeting or greeting), has a very lyrical beat created by G-Slow, who has worked with Eluphant since their Soul Company era. The song is a warm welcome to either a guest who has come a long way, or to someone who is returning home from far away.
The second track, ‘환절기‘, talks about ‘the change of seasons’ (literal translation of title). In between seasons, the extreme temperature differences between day and night and the fine dust in Korea are the cause of colds, fevers, or even rhinitis. Maybe that is why spending several seasons together makes for a strong relationship. This is not only true for interpersonal relationships, but also for the relationship between music and a person.
Featured on this song is singer DOKO of House on Mars, who recently released his debut album, ‘Find Them All’.
