Bizzy - Distance (cover art)

“We all got demons”: Bizzy releases “Distance” single and MV

In his new digital single and music video “Distance,” Bizzy raps honestly about dreams, betrayal, expectations, success, time, and even love.

“From one point on, the first thing that came to my mind when meeting people was to keep them at a distance. Is that wrong of me?
Is work hard? People are what’s hard. Nothing is a given in this world!
Do I only have angels? We all got demons. Don’t awake my demons!”

Bizzy, ‘Show Me the Money 6 was a Ghood experience’ (Exclusive Interview)

After 17 months of hiatus, this Feel Ghood Music artist returns to the hiphop scene with a fresh new track titled ‘What’s Up Hyung?.  Read our exclusive interview with Bizzy, who speaks about his recent collaboration with YDG, as well as his experience as a producer on Show Me the Money 6.

The Interview

First of all, welcome back ! It’s been over a year since you released your previous single, ‘All I Need (검은머리 파뿌리)’. How have you been? Have you fully recovered from your sugery?
Thanks for asking! I quit smoking after surgery… and trust me, it was harder than I thought.  If I took up smoking again, the doctor told me I’d have to cut another lung, so I guess I don’t have much choice at this moment. I’m still on my way to recovery.

Your new single ‘What’s Up Hyung pays homage to the ‘older bros’ of Korean hip-hop: DJ DOC, Garion, sean2slow, YDG, Bizzy, Tiger JK, Jinusean, Kim Jinpyo, Tiny, and Dok2. How did your collaboration with YDG and Loptimist come about?
We go way back (almost around 20 years).  The track was recorded in 2010.  I always wanted to do a duo project with my man YDG, so I’m glad it’s happening right now!  Also, this is a new beginning, so please look out for our music in the future.

It was great to see Feel Ghood Music represent Khiphop on Show Me the Money 6. Can you tell us about your overall experience as a producer on the show?
Overall, it was a Ghood experience and I got to meet many Ghood people.  But at the same time, it was hard for me to handle my emotional feelings.

On the track ‘Day After (그날)’, you share your thoughts following the final rounds of Show Me the Money 6. Can you elaborate on the song’s subject matter and what you went through during this time.
The incident was a big deal to me, and I blamed myself so much for it.  I locked myself in for three to four days.  But I had to let my feelings out somehow, so I decided to do that through rap on the track ‘Day After‘.  [The performance] was one of my biggest exposure, and I couldn’t handle the pressure, especially because [the final episode] was broadcasted live.  Throughout the rehearsal, I had everything ready.  I’m usually really good at memorizing lyrics, but something was off that day.

I’m still traumatized after the incident.  I did a show the other day and forgot my lyrics about 3 times… luckily, I got back on track and was able to finish the show, but it was a weird feeling that I have never felt before.  I have to get over it soon, and I guess that will take some time.

Earlier this year, you performed at the South By Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas. Do you have any plans to perform in front of your international fans in the near future?
I would love to!  Please invite us.

Thank you for answering our questions! Is there anything you want to say to your fans worldwide?
I would love to meet my fans in person – that is one of the goals in my life. Thanks for always having my back.  It really means everything to me.  Be happy cause you deserve it!  Feel Ghood music-!

Bizzy - What's Up Hyung (cover art)

Bizzy asks ‘What’s Up Hyung’ with new single and MV featuring YDG

After a (solo) break of one year and five months, Bizzy is back with the single and music video ‘What’s Up Hyung‘ which features his longtime friend YDG.

The title track of Bizzy‘s single features the unique and outstanding YDG. The two artists have been friends for twenty years. Star hiphop producer Loptimist, who is responsible for countless hit songs, has created a classic hiphop track for the two friends.

In the single’s first track ‘그날’ (lit.: that day), Bizzy raps about his feelings after the final stage of SMTM6 in his charming, mellow baritone.

The third track ‘6 Cypher’ is the producer cypher of this year’s season of Show Me The Money (minus ZICO and DEAN’s parts). The mind-blowing line-up and the cypher video were so popular that fans requested an official release for the track. The producers agreed on it to be included in this single.
