Monthly Project Yoon Jongshin: April 2015 features the track ‘The Color (with Beenzino)’ which is themed after American painter Mark Rothko. Known as a master of abstract expressionism, Mark Rothko’s paintings evoke emotion. Yoon Jongshin is inspired by such colors of Mark Rothko’s work which provided him the medium to create his latest track with Beenzino.
The keywords for his latest track are ‘color’ and ‘simple.’ Color is a term that cannot be excluded in Rothko’s art, especially the hue of red, which is an underlying theme expressed in the lyrics. The term ‘simple’ is the most beautiful, as exemplified by the paintings of Mark Rothko.
The April edition of Yoon Jongshin’s Monthly Project features Beenzino, who adds his own color through his unique rap style over the powerful beat and rhythm. ‘The Color’ will be available on April 30 KST.
