Verse 1: The Quiett)
I quietly sit down at my place on that day too
I look at the other kids’ expressions one by one
Waking up and going to school, going home and laying down exhausted
Our life is a four-panel comic

There are quite a lot of books in my backpack
But I don’t know what those things give to me
The thing that keeps me within this pile of books nevertheless
is the delusion that something will be different if I just go to college

You hold your liquor well and cuss well but
No matter how tough you get, in reality you’re not strong
I didn’t want a different life
And even less the same life as others

I lived till this age but still haven’t found anything I want to do, people either tell me
‘You’re already too late’
Or ‘You had no choices in your life’
No matter what work it is, as long as it brings money it will be worth it?

We have no dreams.
We have to hang on dangling just anywhere others go
As we age, we just sigh in frustration
I thought we’d always be together but when I’m lonely

There’s no one by my side
Now, there’s not much time
Now even for a moment, erase that keyword that the world slipped into your hand
I wish you will find your true self

Hook x2)
Inside the box you are always confined
Although you know this, ultimately you’re confined

Verse 2: Paloalto)
Your entire body staggers and you lose your dreams
With a cloudy focus, just where are you going?
You fall in drunkenness, fight and bleed
The fireworks of your passionate youth [disappear] into the distance..

The democratic struggle of 1980
In order to straighten the Republic of Korea’s problems, the subject of justice blazed up
The thickness that shortly and deeply thickened youth
You, with the gaze of that time, have ambition!

The absence of real workers [working] for the country on this ground
No one has interest in that
This is already not the first task but the second task of our society
People who habitually take part in deeds of darkness stand at the edge ((I believe Paloalto is referring to a Bible passage Ephesians 5:11 that refers to ‘deeds of darkness’ (어둠의 일)))

Tomorrow’s future is so very uncertain
We dirty and stain our own reputation
All you do is sit back quietly, eating and fattening up
Why aren’t you scared and worried about the Korean peninsula’s war?

Your head is jet-black and your backpack is empty
Afraid someone might steal your comforts
You are anxious and don’t want to go into a cave so you give in to conspiracies
And in result you make an irresponsible remark ‘It’s all okay’

Bridge)
We live life like that anyway
It’s okay. It’s [just] one moment anyway
It’s okay. We live life like that anyway
It’s okay. It’s [just] one moment anyway

Hook x2)

Verse 3: Paloalto)
It is foolish to drown lamentations in the glass ((He is referring to drinking away sorrows with alcohol.))
Don’t stay down when you’ve collapsed but get back up again
Youth is clear like morning dew
Don’t stop thinking and keep moving

Dadaradada dadadara
In the hardships of this world you abide by something
and your needy soul receives comfort
Survive till the end on this fallen ground

The Quiett)
In the midst of faithless teaching
The sandcastle of our identities fell apart
we are afraid of being alone
and we are shaken by waves of trends like a rootless tree

I’m already way over Twenty Questions and cannot find my way ((Reference to the game Twenty Questions))
And follow the purposeless parade of the masses
We need to know [that] life belongs to ourselves
Stand up tall.

Hook x2)
