Swings - Upgrade III (album cover)

Swings releases fifth full-length album ‘Upgrade III’

Swings’ ‘Upgrade III‘ LP features talented producers like IOAH, GRAY, and Nochang, as well as rappers and singers DEAN, The Quiett, Giriboy, Colde, Verbal Jint, and more.

In 2008, Swings released his debut album ‘Upgrade’ with the wish to bring progress to the Korean hiphop scene. In 2011, he released ‘Upgrade II’ with the intent to offer comfort regarding people’s experiences with society.

Seven years later, as CEO of Just Music and Indigo Music, as artist Swings and man Jihoon Moon, he is releasing the third part of the series to overcome psychological conflicts he has experienced due to many incidents in his changing environment.
Unlike its daring and vigorous predecessors, this album is steadier and more mature, but also includes a fresh new element as Swings tries himself at trap music for the first time.

The participating producers in this album include: Kim Shin (김신), who recently produced one track off Osshun Gum‘s ‘Young Wave‘ and one off JUSTHIS and Paloalto‘s ‘4 the Youth‘ LP; IOAH of LIVOFFMND, who already worked with Swings on ‘Mood Swings 2 Part 3: Psychotherapy‘; Squabby Doo, the producer behind BILL STAX, Cjamm, and Swings’ ‘GOAT‘; the well-proven dream team GRAY and DAX; and Swings’ label mate Nochang.

The featured artists include Cozyboys Kid Milli, NO:EL, and Tommy $trate; offonoff‘s Colde, DEAN, as well as established rappers The Quiett and Giriboy. Fans will especially enjoy the collaboration between Swings and Verbal Jint in the title track.

On Instagram, Swings writes: “I’d like to thank everyone who has been helping me all this time. My sincere gratitude[.] When I made this album I went through a very hard time, eventually making this album my resolution to overcome it all[.] I hope that [this album] will be of help to everyone who is currently or in the future battling feelings like mine. I am very happy lately and I am rediscovering myself. In this sense, I once again thank each and every one for becoming my teacher [in life]. I won’t become someone who is all talk but I will keep doing art and prove myself. I Love Hip Hop! #thankyouforsavingmylife”

The LP is going to be available on iTunes/Apple Music; the release time can differ depending on country.
