Amoeba Culture’s Yankie has collaborated with rookie rapper Jeian on the mini album ‘11516’. It came out today along with the music video of its title track, ‘Glow (Feat. Gaeko)’.
The first time in his over twelve-year-old career, Yankie has taken up the role of a producer. However, fans can still hear him rap in this project album with rookie artist Jeian.
‘11516‘ is a straightforward description of the brief moments between two lovers. The curious title refers to the place where the album was made.
Going straight in, ‘Bed Break’ depicts passionate love-making. In the second track, a man wants to be the ‘Fisherman’ swimming his beloved’s vast sea. Only the moonlight shines on two people as they fall in love at first sight and talk all night, the story told in ‘Glow’. And finally, ‘I’m Crying’ is about someone remembering their past love with suppressed feelings.
Yankie was not only in charge of the music, he also helped making the music video. Directed by VIDEO KID, it features beautiful animations by Seoro Oh. The two previously created the music video for DJ Friz‘s ‘Dive (Feat. MRSHLL, Megan Lee)‘. Scroll down to watch the music video of ‘Glow’!
