Sway D

Sway D - 올라가 (cover art)

Sway D releases single and MV ‘올라가 (Feat. SUPERBEE & Goretexx)’

While we aren’t done enjoying ‘Hurricane Love’, Sway D is already back with the fresh new single ‘올라가‘ (lit.: going up) featuring SUPERBEE and Goretexx.

The music video for Sway D‘s single ‘Hurricane Love‘ came out only four days ago, he is already bringing out new music.

The artist is originally from Busan and came to Seoul in order to fulfill his big dream of making music. This single contains his resolution from that time. Support for these huge dreams and ambitions comes from SUPERBEE who is just as unpredictable and random as Sway D, as well as from Goretexx who is better known as world-famous fashion model Sungjin Park.
The heavy 808 bass and the dull synth sounds create a heroic atmosphere right from the start of the track. The simple but addictive hook that makes you perk up your ears is one of Sway D’s specialties.

However, not only the sound and the featured artists of this single are interesting. The green robot ‘Wind Kaizer’, who you might already know from Sway D’s Instagram posts and the cover artwork, has finally come to life in a video. Sway D becomes the super hero from his imaginations, Super Great Hurricane, and springs into action with Wind Kaizer. He invites SUPERBEE and Goretexx into this world of his where the two take up their own characteristic roles. The result is a music video much like a science fiction movie.

Sway D’s unique rise in the Korean hiphop scene is reaching a successful outcome. Look forward to Super Great Hurricane’s next adventure!

Huckleberry P - Thank You (cover art)

Huckleberry P releases new single ‘Thank You (Feat. Sway D, CHANGMO)’

For his new single ‘Thank You’, Huckleberry P is staging a satire with Sway D and CHANGMO.

It has been nince months since Huckleberry P has released the single ‘박상혁’ (Sanghuk Park, his real name). In it, the rapper replied to several rumors and prejudices surrounding his person. Was that enough to make him feel better? If you listen to his latest single ‘Thank You‘, you can hear that he has a lot more left to say.

After his mini album ‘점 (Dot)‘, Huckleberry P once more worked with Humbert. The song is lead by the producer’s diverse arrangement. On top of it, Huckleberry P invited the unpredictable Sway D and CHANGMO to a boisterous party. From inside jokes to nasty mockery, he spits everything he left out in ‘박상혁’.

Now that Show Me The Money is in its sixth season, hiphop is still hot in South Korea. In the midst of quickly changing surroundings, Huckleberry P has been staying true to his words. However, his music and the message they deliver make it clear that he is actually not a simple and honest guy. In this single too, there are realistic humor and satire hidden behind lyrics full of complaints.

Sway D - Hurricane Love (cover art)

Sway D releases single ‘Hurricane Love’

Acoustic guitar meets trap beat in Sway D aka Super Great Hurricane’s latest single ‘Hurricane Love’.

Sway D released the single ‘Super Great (Feat. The Quiett)‘ not too long ago.

Hurricane Love‘ shows a different side of the artist with its 808 bass and addictive acoustic guitar sound, resulting in a mix of hiphop, trap, folk, and country music that feels familiar for some reason. Sway D learned how to play the guitar in middle school and polished up his skills to play it for this song. His naive guitar playing and the deep sadness in the song create Sway D’s trademark playful atmosphere.

Enter the eye of ‘Hurricane Love’ that sings about memories of a past love!

YunB - YunB (album cover)

YunB releases first mini album ‘YunB’

YunB of Hi-Lite Records has released his first EP titled ‘YunB’ as well as the music video for the title track ‘2099 (Feat. Kid Travis & MaseWonder)’.

YunB was born in New York, then went to elementary and middle school in Seoul and returned to New York for high school and university. His debut album ‘YunB’ reflects his current self, the various experiences and feelings he gained from the two cities New York and Seoul.

Hiphop has become the lifestyle of many young people in the world. YunB naturally came into contact with the hiphop culture in New York and grew up alongside hiphop fans. Maybe that is why his music is so straightforward and organicly vivid. As he raps in ‘New York II’ and ’50K’, to him music is not something that was intentionally made by imitating someone else but a natural by-product of the process of accepting and learning the hiphop music and culture.

In the heartless, fierce city life of chasing success, the track ‘산인’ (lit.: mountain folks) opens the eyes to the importance and beauty of nature. This remarkable topic of the title track is continued similarly in ‘Ritalin’. The track mixes the life of constantly seeking something new and the true inner feelings that deny this. YunB’s English and YonYon‘s Japanese rap make for a profound and mysterious combination that creates a dreamy atmosphere. This unique atmosphere that can be called YunB’s signature sound can be heard in the whole album, including ‘Skrt’ and ‘U’. A dreamy progress of chords topped by a strong beat and rapping seems to represent the life of the young generation that grows up in the busy city, bearing dreams and love.

YunB produced and mixed this EP himself, including as much of his style as possible. Last year he debuted with the single ‘Runaway, Pt. 1‘, then continuously released several more singles and music videos. With his first EP in his name ‘YunB‘, he keeps reinforcing his own philosophy and creativity.
