South by Southwest has invited a number of Korean hip-hop and R&B artists to spotlight. The likes of Epik High, MFBTY, and Crush have all left their unique stamp on the festival. In 2019, the range and diversity of hip-hop and R&B acts has only broadened. Here I give a sneak peek into who I’m really excited to see (and who you should probably check out as well).

Dope’Doug and Owen Ovadoz got together under the name ‘￦ons & Dolla$’ and dropped their first track, ‘P&X‘, on SoundCloud yesterday.
MKIT RAIN‘s Owen Ovadoz recently released his second full-length album, ‘changes‘. Meanwhile, Dope’Doug‘s most recent official single, a joint with Loopy, came out over a year ago. The rapper has been active on SoundCloud instead.
Five days ago, Owen and Dope’Doug revealed that they are working on an album together under the moniker ‘￦ons & Dolla$‘ (the duo’s Instagram account reads “￦ons & Dollar$”). Yesterday, the two released their first track together. You can stream it on SoundCloud (see above).
