Code Kunst performed the three tracks ‘Lounge (Feat. Hwaji)’, ‘Born from the Blue (Feat. JUSTHIS)’, and ‘Don’t Shoot Me MAMA (Feat. Car, the Garden)’ off his ‘MUGGLES’ MANSION‘ LP for Naver On Stage. You can watch the live performances below.
The ‘On Stage Versions’ of the tracks were also released as a single.

BILL STAX releases ‘Buffet’ Mixtape

BILL STAX has released the mixtape ‘Buffet‘ yesterday.

This is his first album release after changing his 17-year-old artist name ‘Vasco‘ to ‘BILL STAX’.

The mixtape is about every-day topics like cooking or driving. The ten tracks feature Cjamm, Nochang, nafla, Hwaji, and Tammy, and were produced by GroovyRoom, Giriboy, and Jay Kidman. The album includes ‘38 Flexing‘ which was pre-released as a single and music video.

Snacky Chan Drops “Funk N Drunk” MV featuring Ja Mezz and Hwaji

Check out the music video for Dynasty Muzik CEO/artist Snacky Chan‘s new single titled “Funk n Drunk” featuring Hwaji and Ja Mezz.

Snacky Chan drops the official music video for “Funk n Drunk,” a song which first appeared on his latest EP Space Bars last June.  He is accompanied by two highly regarded artists from the Korean hip hop scene, Hwaji and Ja Mezz.

The three find themselves at an ordinary Po-jang-ma-cha, which is an illegal street vendor of alcohol and food. Consuming shot after shot of Korea’s most popular drink, soju, the three become intoxicated to the point they start to hallucinate. People and things that surround them start to look much better the more they drink.

Special thanks to the team at ‘Blue Brain’ for directing and shooting the video. Also much love to P.R for producing, arranging, and mixing the song.

Hwaji releases single ‘알 바야’

Hwaji has released the single ‘알 바야‘ (What Do I Care) as part of Plug Life’s ARK Project.

The lyrics are part of the world Hwaji depicted in his last album, ‘ZISSOU‘.
“It is time to get on an ark that will break through people’s gazes, standards, and judgement.”
‘알 바야’ (What Do I Care) was produced by Young Soul who has been working with Hwaji for a long time now.
The ARK Project also includes a concert, tickets can only be bought on Melon Ticket.

Hwaji - ZISSOU (cover)

Hwaji reveals tracklist and cover of upcoming full-length album ‘ZISSOU’

 

After recently pre-releasing the track ‘상아탑 (Ivory Towers)‘ off his upcoming 2nd full-length album ‘ZISSOU’, Hwaji has now revealed the album’s cover artwork and tracklist with featurings by AOMG’s Ugly Duck, VMC’s Deepflow, Inplanet’s R&B artist The Suite, and Hi-Lite’s Paloalto.

The album will be made up of 13 tracks which have all been produced by Young Soul who already worked with Hwaji on most of the tracks off his first full-length album ‘EAT’.

Pre-sales for a package including Hwaji’s first and second full-length album start on January 22nd on Hiphopplaya. This is a very rare chance, since Hwaji’s first full-length album ‘EAT’ can currently not be bought anywhere and will not be officially sold either.

All artworks for the album and the pre-released tracks ‘안 급해’, ‘히피카예’, and ‘상아탑 (Ivory Towers)’ were created by BAZBON who amongst others also made the artwork for Ugly Duck’s ‘Whatever’ and Babylon’s ‘Tight’.

‘ZISSOU’ is set for release in mid-February.
