Lay Back Records’ rookie rapper DSEL has released his debut EP ’00’ today which features Kid Milli, Duggshak, O.I, Khundi Panda, and Chaboom.

Maybe you have seen DSEL‘s name in one of HiphopKR’s SoundCloud playlists. Or you’ve read it in the track list for Chaboom‘s ‘SOUR‘ EP. There, DSEL featured on ‘로얄제리’ alongside veteran rapper Hwaji.

Rookie DSEL recently joined Chaboom’s Lay Back Records and is starting his official activities as an artist of the label with this mini album. The title ‘00‘ stands for the money that is on DSEL’s bank account at the moment. It also stands for him being ‘young’, as this is the way the number ‘zero’ is pronounced in Korean. With this album the artist wants to talk in detail about money as something that comes with a responsibility and as a means to enjoy youth.

The album holds seven tracks that express the general cold reality of someone in their early twenties, including DSEL’s personal stories.
DSEL worked with his long-time colleague Hipincase, for example on the skit ‘연락해’ (lit.: contact me), as well as with his Cozyboy Crew mates Kid Milli and Duggshak for ‘Cozy’s Call Back’. The album further features Lay Back Records’ rookie R&B singer O.I, the extremely popular Khundi Panda, and Lay Back Records’ Chaboom.

The title track ‘00‘ and the track ‘아무 것도 아니야 (Feat. Chaboom)‘ are available for free listening on SoundCloud. You can watch the music video for the title track below.
