J’Kyun releases second full-length album, ‘RE;MIND’, and ‘#uniQorn’ MV
Rapper J’Kyun has released his second full-length album, ‘RE;MIND‘, today along with the music video of the title track, ‘#uniQorn (Feat. Andnew)’. He received support from DPR CREAM, Deepflow, HD Beatz, and more.
Releasing his debut album, ‘Just Clap’, in 2005, J’Kyun‘s discography so far counts one full-length album (‘RE:BIRTHDAY’, 2010), two mini albums, and about 15 singles. Furthermore, he was a member of several teams, including Lucky J together with Jessi and JERO.
For three years, J’Kyun has worked on his second full-length album. It contains eleven tracks belonging to the common theme of “groove & chill.” Included are the three pre-released songs, ‘Lit‘, ‘Wavy‘, and ‘Hate Me Why‘. The album has strong analog sounds and is also available on vinyl.
The artist comments: “I did everything I could, creating this album,
in order to place
a mere 11 tracks in order.
After six months, I finally held the vinyls
in hand that crossed the ocean from Czech Republic
and I was a bit happy.
From some point on
I became embarrassed of the name ‘J’Kyun’.
While think that I should quit
I do not want to quit.
Looking back, it has been ten years full of regret.
Did I put up a front when facing others?
Were my smiles fake?
What mistakes did I commit?
All that remains are the people toward who I feel apologetic and grateful.
If you are reading this
listen to my songs just once
from the beginning until the end
like a cassette tape, like a vinyl.
I deeply thank
everyone who has made an effort to help create this album.”
‘RE;MIND’ is going to be available on iTunes/Apple Music. You can watch the title track’s music video below–it features up-and-coming singer Andnew. Also check out the two (currently Korean-only) videos in which DinDin and Deepflow respectively listen to the LP and comment on it along with J’Kyun.
