KozyPop: ‘Seoul Vibes Pt. 1’ LP introduces indie music
A June of Link6 has compiled a number of ‘KozyPop’ indie tracks. ‘Seoul Vibes Pt. 1‘ features music by Ranez, RIPLEY, BOiTELLO, FR:EDEN, vinternoon, Sinstealer, slchld, Rheehab, and more.
‘KozyPop‘ is a portmanteau of ‘cozy’ and ‘K-pop’ and refers to those artists who enjoy music that has a certain mellow atmosphere, rather than music of a specific genre.
Behind this album series, with the aim to introduce major indie artists to a wider audience, is producer A June of global music group Link6.
The first part features many well-known indie artists whose music counts mostly to the R&B/soul and jazz hop genres: singers RIPLEY (previously known as RIPELY), FR:EDEN, CIKI, Sinstealer, Hieut, slchld, and Rheehab, producers Ranez and vinternoon, as well as Tuifu. Several tracks have already seen an official release: ‘We Don’t‘, ‘Friend Zone‘, ‘Merry Go Round‘, ‘Fall Scent‘, and ‘시간이 춤을 춰’ (lit.: time is dancing).
