Last month, Somdef pre-released the single and music video ‘ONE PLUS ONE‘ off ‘Some Definition of Love’.

What would you answer if you were asked, “What is love?”
Love means a lot of different things to different people. Based on the current situation you are in, or past experiences you have had, one could think of love as thrilling and exciting or as sorrow or sadness.

On this album, all the artists, including Somdef, tried to give their own definition of love through the songs they worked on.

“What song suits your definition of love?”

SOMDEF - ONE PLUS ONE (cover art)

SOMDEF drops single and music video ‘ONE PLUS ONE (Feat. LOCO, Bravo)’

DJ and producer SOMDEF has released his new single and music video ‘ONE PLUS ONE‘ featuring rapper LOCO and singer Bravo today.

SOMDEF released his first album ‘Somdef’ in 2013 and his first single ‘Ring Ring Ring (Feat. Verbal Jint, Paloalto, DPR LIVE, Car, the Garden)‘ in 2017. He produced G2‘s ‘Hymn (Feat. Don Mills)‘ as well as tracks for Mad Clown and Yankie.

The producer’s second single is his first with WNA Records, a label for DJs and producers. AOMG‘s LOCO and singer Bravo of Beautiful Noise and Childwood perform the track.
The lyrics were written with support from Mad Clown, while singer-songwriter Jinbo helped with the arrangement and the chorus. Seokcheol Yoon, known for his work with Zion.T, contributed to the arrangement on the keyboards.

People often say that one plus one equals one, or two. In the first case, it means that two people become one, and in the second it means that their happiness is doubled. Either way, it is a positive equation. That makes this song perfect for confessing your feelings to someone you love.

FIRST AID - Farewell (cover art)

Producer FIRST AID pre-releases single ‘Farewell (Feat. Jinbo)’

FIRST AID of Room306 and F.W.D. collaborates with Jinbo on a new single, a song about paradoxical, contradictory feelings in the face of a pending ‘Farewell‘.

FIRST AID has been creating experimental sounds as the producer for F.W.D (read: “forward”) and Room306. Interested in R&B music, he worked on his solo album ‘PAUSE CUTS’ from 2014 to 2016. Due to unfortunate circumstances, the album is being released much later. Today, the first single off it has been pre-released.

FIRST AID produced ‘Farewell’ together with alternative R&B artist Jinbo, who is well-known for his ‘KRNB’ Series and the production work he has done for countless K-pop stars.

“Sentimental, dangerous words. True love pours out many words in the face of a farewell. However, those words ironically serve to bring the greatness of love to light, rather than prepare for the farewell. This little song dimly scatters all kinds of noises, presenting a sentimental, risky sight. At the same time, it projects a clear image of love using accurate lyrics and melodies.” (FIRST AID)

The artwork was created by HOBIN of HOLOCOIN who has worked with Room306 and F.W.D. before.

“Question doesn’t mean anything to us
My love can’t touch your heart anymore
Sorry I leave you alone
It’s the only place you will be fine
Your love was the best thing in all my life”
