As part of his weekly project, New Champ released the track ‘오카카추카 (Okaka Chuka) (Feat. 윤마초)’ about a month ago. The Italian international who currently plays for Belgian club Anderlecht has now reacted to the song with a video message.
New Champ’s ‘Okaka Chuka’ starts like this:
“If you ask me what Okaka Chuka means, I don’t know either
I coincidentally saw the soccer player Okaka Chuka’s name on Naver
when this beat was playing
and my subconscious told me that I should use the name ‘Okaka Chuka’ in the song
So I started writing lyrics right away”
Overall, the lyrics are made up of lots of words that contain the syllables “ka/ga” and “chu,” for example: “chuka” (축하, congratulations), Pikachu, Raichu, KakaoTalk, “chin-gu chuga” (친구추가, adding a friend).
Here is Okaka Chuka’s video message (in Italian, with Korean subtitles):
He says: “Hi New Champ! I found out recently that you’ve written a song for me using my name. I am very happy and wanted to thank you and all your fans and hope to see you (New Champ and Yoon Macho) soon. Asia is very fascinating to me and I hope to go there soon to meet you. Fans reacted impressed, amused, and amazed to the message, expressing their envy and congratulations (chuka) to New Champ.
