KElephant Fresh release second single ‘이슬 같은 너’

The band KElephant Fresh around rappers/singers Genzi and Wooki have released their second single today.

KElephant Fresh won the Gold Award at the creative song festival of MBC’s JUMF (Jeonju Ultimate Music Festival) in 2016 with the socially conscious track ‘How to Live‘. They debuted in September last year with the single ‘Dragonfly‘.

KElephant Fresh is short for ‘Korea Elephant Fresh’ and stands for the Korean idiom ‘고사성어 맹인모상(盲人摸象)’ which translates to “A blind person is touching an elephant” and means that just like the blind person in the idiom will only be able to make out one part of the elephant, so do their songs only represent parts of their music which again cannot be specified through just one song.
The group is made up of Genzi and Wooki who both rap and sing, drummer Sunghyun Nam (남성현), bassist Myunghan Lee (이명한), guitarist Ben Forney, as well as David Mathieu and Byung-ik Yoo (유병익) on the keyboard. Their music is funk rock combined with rap.

Their second single ‘이슬 같은 너‘ (lit.: you’re like the dew) is a refreshing reggae love song. You can preview it on Korean music portals.
